Free Pregnancy Tests
Diamond Women’s Support offers pregnancy tests at no charge to women who think they might be pregnant. We offer this resource to give women who suspect pregnancy a first step forward. We know it can be unsettling and overwhelming to wonder whether you’re pregnant. We hope taking a free pregnancy test in a judgment-free environment will give you some of the peace you need before discussing your next steps.
What happens after the pregnancy test?
If the test you take is positive, you should make an appointment to see your doctor soon. If it is negative but you continue to experience pregnancy symptoms, you may not have been far enough along for the test to detect your pregnancy. In this case, and if your period doesn’t arrive within a few days, you should retake the test. A pregnancy test will generally not show up as positive unless you are close to or past the day your period was due. After one of these pregnancy tests, your GP can order a blood and urine sample to confirm pregnancy and asses your overall health.
Before worrying about the options you have, it’s important to first know whether you’re really pregnant. If you find yourself unexpectedly pregnant, there are three options available to you: abortion, adoption, or parenting. We will help you navigate and understand all aspects of the options
